Volunteer Opportunities

The work of the ARC relies on volunteer effort, if you are interested in helping to develop this exciting project please get in touch with us. We welcome help from experts, undergraduate and postgraduate students, or anyone who can spare the odd few hours and is interested in any aspect of the Records Centre.

Task Description
Help us to enter garden bird records
Help with habitat mapping using a computer geographical information system (Arcview)
Validating submitted records and data before they are entered into our database
Help to collate an inventory of all biodiversity data in Alderney including examining museum records
Enter biological and historical records onto the ARC database
Help to carry out a Phase 1 habitat survey of the entire island
Help us carry out biological surveys (e.g. butterflies, birds, vegetation)
Assist with updating Museum based records on the Museum database
