ARC's Surveys

To build upon ARC's large collection of geological, ecological and historical information key surveys are undertaken each year. The research can aide long term survey projects and fill any missing gaps of knowledge that is required. These surveys can range from German fortification locations, marine habitat analysis to butterfly and ladybird counts.

Surveys for 2008:

  • Pond habitat and species biodiversity surveys
  • Geological mapping studies
  • Island invertebrate and terrestrial surveys
  • World War II fortification review
  • Intertidal and subtidal marine surveys
  • Bird identification, diversity and abundance research

Sightings

Your sightings significantly help ARC's information database and important survey research projects for the island. ARC's records are currently uneven; with numerous sightings of one particular piece of information and limited records of another.

Therefore any record is extremely important to ARC, so please report any sightings on the Submit Sighting page, or contact ARC on info@alderneyrecordscentre.org
