Data Holdings
ARC possesses an array of different biological, ecological, geological and historical data regarding the island of Alderney.
ARC holds all data received from public recorders, expert recorders and groups in a secure system which is archived and validated appropriately following predefined procedures and guidelines. The format of data can be of either: any form of paper / photography, digital, artefact or specimen.
ARC archives all of its data within The Alderney Museums stores. This ensures all information is protected from physical loss, damage, deterioration and unauthorised use or alteration.
ARC has set policies and guidelines to ensure that all records are maintained correctly, acknowledge that all data received belongs to the original recorders and all record information (particularly personal or confidential) is protected under set standards and only accessed by authorised personnel.
