Agreements

ARC recognises the importance of ensuring all available interactive information is of the best quality to the public. ARC will maintain set agreements to ensure this as far as possible given the constraints of time, volunteers and available money.

Details of Agreements:

ARC will agree to ensure all data is managed correctly and is responsibly used inline with predefined guidelines and procedures.

ARC will agree to validate and verify all records wherever possible and will maintain important links to local and national expert professionals.

ARC will protect all information (paper, electronic, artefact or specimen) through set policies on data holdings, physical security, data exchange and recorder ownership and acquisition.

ARC will adhere to the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2001 and appropriate Copyright Laws when dealing with recorder's information.

ARC will retain certain information that is deemed sensitive (i.e. locations of endangered species, commercial habitats) that could potentially be used by those for inimical actions.
